Thank you for the detailed explanation. Not understanding the intricacies of the Muslim religion, I've found the "denouncements" etc. very confusing.
You're a brave soul. I hope things work out all right for you.

The Hamilton Spectator hasn't contacted me yet, even though I spoke to the Editorial page editor, Casey who was "waiting to hear from me". I left him a message along with one for Dana Robbins Editor-in-Chief but neither has called back. Dana is on holiday.
To tell you the truth, I'm a little apprehensive about my name being out there just yet. But there is a point in time when you have to be strong. I'm still suffering the effects of what I'm calling 'brainwashing' because of the psychological pressure not to 'rat' on your fellow Muslims while I was involved.
Not talking about other Muslims might as well be called 'criminal code of ethics' as far as I'm concerned
