Chiefs of Police Criticize Justice System

Good for the the Chiefs of Police of Ontario see London Free Press article. Irwin Cotler is playing politics with the justice system and should step down for his insensitive comments on opposing mandatory sentencing "on principal". Is he afraid mandatory sentences would see a Liberal in jail?

And who is the goombah lawyer working for the federal justice department who was quoted unnamed to the Toronto Star that mandatory sentences wouldn't survive a Constitutional challenge? How the hell does he know and is that his job?

Parliament decides these things, not a unnamed lawyer.
